DOMESTIC ADOPTION

Many families choose to adopt children domestically instead of internationally for the following reasons:

• There are many children in the United States in need of a loving and stable home.

• The children may have an open adoption and thus, a chance at a relationship with family and past connections. 

• The children will have a higher percentage of locating birth parents and siblings (if separated) as an adult. 

• The costs associated with a domestic adoption can be substantially lower than an international adoption.

• International adoption requirements can be overwhelming and difficult to achieve.

• Adopting children domestically gives you a higher chance of receiving more social and family history as well as medical and mental health history about the children's family.

• A child can be placed with a family at birth. 

• There will be minimal travel. 

• You can pursue adoption of older children from the Child Welfare System in any state in the U.S.

Family on the Mend, LLC also provides consultation to help families navigate the adoption process along with assistance in searching for children and inquiry follow-up with Child Welfare Agencies in every state. We participate in meetings, match staffings, and full disclosure staffings on your behalf and in attendance with you.  

Fees are individualized according to the Individual needs of each family regarding the services you wish to receive.
